José E. Pedroza, DMD, MSc

Dr. José E. Pedroza is the founder and director of the Dental Implant Center for the Promotion of Research and Education. Dr. Pedroza graduated in 1983 from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus, School of Dental Medicine. For the past twenty years, he has developed a solid practice exclusively oriented to oral reconstruction and dental implants. His quest for knowledge and his commitment towards excellence and outstanding dental care for his patients stimulated him to keep growing academically and in clinical proficiency.

In 1992 Dr. Pedroza received a Full Externship Certificate from the Midwest Implant Institute and Center for the Advancement of Dentistry in Columbus, Ohio. For the next three years underwent a Comprehensive Implant Dentistry Training Course at the Implant Reconstructive Center and since then, has incorporated the "Hilt Tatum Philosophy" on Implant Dentistry, and has kept a close mentorship with Dr. Hilt Tatum, Jr. In addition, Dr. Pedroza works as an Assistant Professor in the Office of Research of the School of Dental Medicine of the University of Puerto Rico since 1999.

In 2006, Dr. Pedroza received a MSc degree on Clinical Research from the School of Medicine of the University of Puerto Rico, and in 2007 was awarded with a Certificate for an 18 months Residency on Anesthesiology, from the UPR School of Medicine Anesthesiology Department. Dr. Pedroza has traveled to the United States, Latin America and Europe to lecture on Implant Dentistry. He has published several scientific articles on the subject.

Dr. Pedroza's passion for Implant Dentistry and his determination to pass on his knowledge and experience is the impetus for the founding of the course The Puerto Rico AAID Maxicourse® Program and Clinical Residency in Implant Dentistry.
